Document everything!  Inside, Outside, Closets, All Walls, Ceilings, Floors.  The more photos the better.  We can Matterport (video) your property (document interior and exterior materials and condition prior to the storm, including all of your contents, with measurements that keeps the assumptions of the insurance adjuster from harming you).    

Make sure you are safe.  Then call us to document the damage with a full home video,  documented water meter readings and damage assessments in writing with photographic date and time stamped photos.  The insurance companies do not  tell you in detail what they require in order to pay your claim.  As a homeowner you are suppose to guess.  We also hold water mitigation companies accountable to accurate charges.  We are IICRC Certified water mitigation technicians and ensure the charges are accurate based on meter readings, the amount of damage and the time it takes to dry your home.   Our Adjusters have been thru this process with their personal homes and learned what information insurance companies don't tell you.
